A This 'n That Note from Ginny!
Can you believe
it’s already February? I was listening to the radio
yesterday and the DJ said, “It’s only three hundred
twenty-nine days until Christmas, folks!” I laughed, but
if the rest of the year follows January’s example, those
three hundred twenty-nine days will zoom past like
they’re strapped to the wing of the Concorde.
Last week I received
several boxes containing advance copies of Age before
Beauty, earmarked for a couple of upcoming blog
tours. After my traditional celebratory dance
around the room, I sat down to autograph the books. With
each of my books, I select a special message to
inscribe. Sometimes it’s a phrase, sometimes a Bible
verse that reflects the book’s content. For Age
before Beauty, I’ve selected John 16:27, where Jesus
says, “The Father Himself loves you because you have
loved me and believed that I came from God.” As I signed
my name and recorded that verse in each book, I prayed
that the certainty of God’s love would resonate in the
heart and mind of the reader.
Isn’t it
funny how much easier it is to believe good things for
someone else than for ourselves? I have no trouble at
all believing that God loves you, my friend, yet I’ve
been feeling fairly unlovable lately. But God always
finds a way to get His message across, even if it takes
hearing it a hundred times. After I’d written and prayed
that verse in roughly a hundred books, I sat back
(shaking my cramping hand!) and heard Him whisper to my
heart, “Now do you get it? I love you!”
My book is fiction. But
the message is real because God’s love is real. My
prayer for you is that you’ll personalize the message
and bask in the extravagant love of your Father. And I
will, too!
May all your dreams
come true, my friend.

Age Before Beauty |

This month I’m pleased to announce the
release of my seventh novel, Age before Beauty.
Advance reviews have been positive -- Romantic Times gave it
four stars! Here’s a brief summary:
Allie Harrod is ready for a new
career. She doesn't want to go back to full time work
and risk missing her baby's first smile. But she does
want to contribute to the family income, and a
home-based business seems like the perfect solution.
Sure, she dropped out of Girl Scouts because she was
lousy at cookie sales, but selling makeup is different,
right?
Still, the challenges Allie faces seem
to be rising as fast as her credit card balance. None of
her clothes fit, her mother-in-law is driving her batty,
and her husband only leaves the couch to go help his
beautiful--and single--coworker with her home repairs.
What's a working girl to do?
This is the second book in the
Sister-to-Sister series, but if you haven’t read Stuck in
the Middle, that’s okay. (Well, you should read
it – it’s good!) Age before Beauty continues the
Sanderson sisters’ story, but it’s an enjoyable book with a
satisfying ending of its own.
Age before Beauty
is available wherever books are sold. Be sure
to check out the video trailer on my website
here.
Touring the Internet
Age before Beauty
goes on tour this month,
visiting over sixty blogs and websites! Twenty-eight awesome

of February 16 in a tour hosted by
Tracy Ruckman.
Then on February 23, bloggers from the FIRST Wild Card blog
group will post their reviews. You’ll find a list of
participating sites on the

my website. I encourage you to visit each one to see what
they think of Age before Beauty. And leave a comment!

Live with
CWHAM
On February 2nd at 11:00 Eastern, I'll be speaking
with Jill Hart, founder of
Christian Work at Home Moms, Inc. on BlogTalkRadio about
Age Before Beauty. I'm excited about this
interview because Jill wrote an endorsement for the book,
and it's good to know in advance that an interviewer liked
your story! Here's what she said: "As a
work-at-home mom, I connected immediately with Allie's
struggle. I laughed my way through her mix-ups and
mess-ups while sympathizing with what she was feeling.
There's something in this story for every mom."
You can listen to the interview live on the Internet
here. If you do, please drop me a note and let me
know what you thought.

stop in every week or so.
Coming Soon

April
will see the release of my eighth novel! In Murder at
Eagle Summit, the classical music trio introduced in
A Taste of Murder heads west for another exciting
adventure, this time at a ski resort in Park City, Utah.
